After finishing up one of my favorite hikes of all time in the Alpe di Siusi region, Tristan & I headed back to our hotel Residence Vroni to drop off some stuff before heading out again to grab a bite to eat.
We had a car, but our hotel was within walking distance of Siusi, a tiny little town at the foot of the Dolomite mountains so we opted to make the trek by foot instead.
There are quite a few walking paths in the area and we just followed the wooden signs like these to our destination. It was pretty steep in places, but well worth the trek.
Others making use of the paths.
Siusi is a really cute town and we spent a little time wandering the streets before settling down for some pizza.
After dinner, we hiked back towards the hotel but detoured a bit to walk around this church. Magnifico.
Back at the hotel as the sun was setting, we grabbed our books and headed outside. The evening was cooling down, but it was still very pleasant. I fully intended to read, but ended up just watching the colors of the Dolomites change as the sun set in the distance.
A wonderful end to a wonderful day in the Dolomites.
Here’s a map of where Siusi, Italy, is in case you ever want to visit (which I’d recommend! :).
Thanks for reading & I wish you safe & happy travels!
